Sm57 provide a beautiful, brilliant and yet warm sounding recording. And the pianist is awesome as well. I wish there could be an album of classics, such as Chopin, Bach and others entirely recorded with and sm57... Maybe a Palestrina Coral... It would be astonishing.

I was thinking about putting a pair of SM57 mics in my piano for recording. I listened to this video through my studio speakers, and it seriously sounds awesome!. Came for the mics, stayed for the player! Great job bro.

This is a Schimmel piano, one of the best! Nice composition! Did you try other mic positions? I have found that large condensers are great for piano miking inside a studio where the room is treated. However for untreated rooms ribbons and dynamics are best.
